Typical example of STEM observation of spheroidal graphite cast iron [3]
Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) is effective to clarify the microstructure of spheroidal graphite cast iron. EDS elemental mapping by STEM with Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) can offer an unique opportunity to understand the distribution of various elements in spheroidal graphite cast iron. Figure 1 shows the Typical example of STEM observation of spheroidal graphite cast iron [1-3].
