EDS elemental mapping by STEM with Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) can offer an unique opportunity to understand the distribution of various elements in spheroidal graphite cast iron. Figure 1 shows the Typical example of STEM observation of spheroidal graphite cast iron [1].
