A unique disordering-ordering phase transition, i.e., a crystalline-to-amorphous-to-crystalline (C-A-C) transition [1,2] and quasi-crystal-to-amorphous-to-crystal (Q-A-C) [3] was found in some intermetallic compounds under MeV electron irradiation using HVEM: a new crystalline phase with a crystal structure different from the original intermetallic compound (quashi crystal) appears from an amorphous phase, which is formed by SSA of the compound (quashi crystal).
